The journey started with Shay Claiborne, a New Orleans native, her baby girl Aja, and their cherished moments of play. Shay’s diverse background in social services, including ABA therapy, mental health counseling, child and family studies, and case management, laid the foundation for Mommyfluent Toy Store. Her commitment to family engagement and the therapeutic power of playtime shaped the vision behind our brand.

With an undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and over seven years of professional experience, Shay has combined her expertise with her passion for early childhood development. As a Certified Play Expert with a track record of working closely with families, she has witnessed firsthand the impact of quality play on a child's growth and development.
